Travel Management for Small and Medium Businesses
Smaller travel programmes are usually the most poorly served — and the easiest to improve. No spend minimums, no lock-in, no call centre.
Request a Tailored SolutionMost travel management companies are built for organisations spending millions. If your business books forty or four hundred trips a year, you are typically offered a self-service portal and an offshore help desk, then left to it.
That is the gap we built MyTravelCo to fill. Small and medium businesses get the same negotiated rates, the same booking technology and the same after-hours support as larger clients — with a named consultant who learns how your team travels.
What changes when an SME moves to a managed programme
The wins for a smaller business are concentrated and quick. These are the ones we see in the first six months.
No more consumer sites
Corporate rates and flexible fare rules instead of non-refundable public fares booked on a personal card.
Hours back each week
Whoever currently books travel between their real job gets that time back.
Credits recovered
Unused tickets from cancelled trips are tracked and reused rather than written off.
One invoice
A single consolidated billing stream that reconciles cleanly instead of a pile of receipts.
Less admin
Traveller profiles, loyalty numbers and preferences stored once and applied to every booking.
Spend you can see
Simple reporting by person, project and cost centre — enough to make decisions, not a data-science project.
Built for how smaller teams actually travel
SME travel rarely looks like a neat corporate programme. It is a founder flying to a pitch on Thursday, two technicians heading to a regional site for a week, and a new hire who needs a flight tomorrow. Plans change, budgets are personal, and someone in the office is quietly carrying all of it.
We build the programme around that reality: a light-touch policy, sensible spend guidelines rather than rigid rules, and direct access to a consultant who does not need the situation explained from scratch every time.
No minimums, no lock-in
There is no spend threshold to work with us and no multi-year contract. Pricing is quoted in writing after a short consultation, and every fee is agreed before you start.
As the business grows, the programme grows with it — more structure, approval workflows, deeper reporting — without changing provider or rebuilding from scratch.
Getting started
We collect traveller details, agree a simple policy, load your preferred airlines and hotels, and set up billing. The steps are set out below, and your consultant will give you a realistic timeline once they understand your team.
When does an SME need managed travel?
Size matters less than how your team travels. A managed programme usually helps when several of these apply.
- Trips are booked by whoever has time, often an office manager or founder, between their real work.
- Travel is a mix of short-notice interstate flights, regional site visits and the occasional international trip.
- Receipts arrive from personal cards and travel spend is hard to see by person or project.
- Cancelled trips leave credits nobody tracks.
- Travellers need someone to call when plans change, rather than a chatbot.
If travel is rare and simple, booking direct may be fine. We will say so during the assessment.
From first conversation to first trip
- 01
Short assessment
You tell us who travels, where, how often and what is not working today. The enquiry form covers this in a few minutes.
- 02
Consultation call
A consultant talks through your answers, asks about approvals and budgets, and tells you plainly whether a managed programme suits you.
- 03
Written proposal
Discuss the recommended services and request a written breakdown of fees and terms before deciding whether to proceed.
- 04
Set-up
We load traveller profiles, loyalty numbers, your travel policy and billing details, then agree how bookings and approvals will run.
- 05
First trips and review
Your team books through their consultant or the self-booking platform, and we review how the first trips went together.
How pricing works
We do not publish a price list, because cost depends on how many trips you book, how complex they are and which services you use (consultant booking, the self-booking platform, reporting, groups).
Use the consultation to request a written breakdown of the proposed services, fees and terms. Confirm what booking changes and after-hours assistance would cover before agreeing to a programme.
In Adelaide, and across Australia
In South Australia
We are based in Adelaide, and South Australian SMEs can meet the team in person by arrangement.
Everywhere else
SMEs in other states are looked after remotely by phone, email and video, with the same consultant each time.

Start the assessmentTravel Management for Small and Medium Businesses questions
Is there a minimum travel spend?
No. We work with businesses booking a few trips a month as well as organisations spending millions a year.
We only travel domestically — is a TMC worth it?
Usually yes. Domestic programmes benefit most from fare timing, flexible fare rules and recovered ticket credits, and those savings tend to show up quickly.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
No. There is no lock-in period. We would rather keep the work by being good at it.
Who books the travel — us or you?
Either. Many SME clients use the self-booking platform for simple trips and hand anything complicated to their consultant. Some hand everything over. Both work.
Can we keep using our own frequent flyer accounts?
Yes. Personal loyalty numbers are stored on traveller profiles and applied automatically, alongside any corporate scheme benefits.
